Ancient Forest Thai Black Tea

This wild black tea comes from centuries-old trees in Northern Thailand. Ranging up to 900 years old, the trees of this ancient forest grow 3-6 meters (10-20 feet) tall and continue to produce fine leaves that are plucked by hand from local villagers. This premium golden-tipped tea is extraordinarily rare; the Pitakwawee family cared for the original trees and over time, the surrounding mountains and dynamic temperatures have produced the fragrant and delicious tea leaves. Each harvest, one bud and two leaves are gathered and processed by a special technique so the taste will be soft with a clean aftertaste. Net weight 2oz (28 servings, $0.71 per serving)
